Mary: How about tomorrow?

Bob: Yes, we have tickets available for tomorrow.

Sam: Hello. My name is Sam.

Keiko: Hi. I am Keiko.

Sam: It is nice to meet you. Welcome to London.

Keiko: Thank you. It is nice to meet you, too.

Sam: Where are you from?

Keiko: I am from Tokyo. Where are you from?

Sam: I am from New York.

Sam: Hi! How are you?

Keiko: Great. How are you?

Sam: I just had my birthday.

Keiko: Really? How old are you?

Sam: I am 35.

Keiko: Are you married?

Sam: Yes. I got married three years ago.

Keiko: Do you have any children?

Sam: Yes. I have a daughter. She is four years old. Do you have children?

Keiko: That is my older son with his grandmother and grandfather.

Sam: He is a handsome boy.

Keiko: Thank you. Here is a photo of the whole family.

Sam: Who are the other man and woman?

Keiko: That is my aunt and uncle and these are my cousins.

Sam: Well, it is great to see you again. Say 'hi' to your husband.

SPRING WEATHER
BILL: That was a heavy storm we had last night, wasn't it, Tom?
TOM: It was. You know that big elm tree behind our house? One of the biggest branches came down in the night.
BILL: Really! Good thing it didn't fall on the house.
TOM: Too far away for that. I wish this weather would clear up. It's about time
we had some nice spring weather.
BILL: It's April, you know. "April showers bring forth May flowers."
TOM: I know; but we've had enough of them. Still, I suppose we shouldn't complain. We had a good winter. Never had so many fine cold days before. I felt fine after them.
BILL: Yes, I enjoyed them too. And the skating. We had a good share of that
this winter.
TOM: We did. Now I suppose we'd better put away the skates till next winter.
BILL: 'Fraid so. No chance now of using them again.
TOM: What does the forecast say this morning?
BILL: My paper says we're in for a fine spell.
TOM: Good, the farmers will be pleased. The wheat will be coming through soon.
BILL: The farmers wouldn't mind bad weather now if they could be sure of a fine September for the harvest.
TOM: But as they're English farmers they can't be sure of anything.
BILL: What about a game of golf next Saturday?
TOM: That'll suit me.
BILL: Begin about two?
TOM: Right. Let's hope the weather doesn't make us call it off.

At the Theatre

- Good evening. John!

- Good evening. Peter! This is a small world! How are you?

- Fine, thanks. How are you?

- Life is going its usual way. Thanks.

- Pleased to hear it. Incidentally, where do you have a seat?

- In the stalls, row C. And where is your seat?

- In the box, close to the stage.

- So you don't have to use opera glasses.

- That's right. What do you think of the play?

- The action develops slowly. Some scenes are dull. The cast is not very good. Do you share my opinion?

- Frankly speaking I do. That happens to be a rather poor performance. Have you been to this theatre before?

- Haven't had a chance, you know. I am here for the first time. I like the hall. It is beautifully decorated. The chairs are comfortable and the chandelier is wonderful. To put it in a nutshell everything here is magnificent but the performance.

- I advise you to see "Othello" by Shakespeare at this theatre. You will be impressed.

- I have been dreaming of seeing any play by Shakespeare in this country. I'll do my best to see "Othello".

- I want to inform you that the best actors are engaged in the performance. The leading man is the famous actor. His name is well-known both in this country and abroad.

- I hope I'll enjoy the performance. The lights are going down.

- We must hurry to the hall. In a minute the curtain will be up.

- Be seeing you later.
