There LIVED a girl. Her name WAS Becky. In 1972, when she was only ten years old, she CAME UP with a great idea. Two years later her invention WAS PATENTED.
She WAS TRYING to do her homework in a family car, while her mother WAS BUYING food in a shop. It WAS dark, she DIDN'T HAVE a torch and she COULDN'T see her copybook very well. At that moment a good idea STRUCK her. She imagined how nice it WOULD BE to have a paper that glows in the dark.

The next day she WENT to the hardware store with her father and BOUGHT some phosphorescent paint. When they came home, she WENT to the darkest room in the house and SPENT all evening experimenting with the paint. Finally she managed to achieve her goal.

Her invention, the glo-paper, consists of a board coated with phosphorescent paint, that stores light when it is expanded to light. It then GLOWS in the dark. When you PUT a paper on this board, you DON'T NEED to switch on the light to see what is written there.

The invention WAS a huge success. Since that time people HAVE BEEN USING it in different spheres: photo, medicine and it is even used by NASA who asked to use it when their electrical systems WERE TURNED DOWN for recharging.
