В Рунете оно встречается редко. В английском языке это понятие встречается чаще. В контексте данного вопроса здесь обращает на себя внимание слово malady, то есть "недуг", которым, по мнению автора, бывает поражен (stricken) тот или иной носитель языка, у которого наблюдается неодолимая тяга к новым словам.
