Великобритания - парламентская монархия. Конституции здесь нет, ее законодательство основывается на многовековых конституционных обычаях и прецедентах. Законодательная власть принадлежит двухпалатному парламенту (палата общин и палата лордов). Кабинет министров (исполнительная власть) формируется премьер-министром - лидером партии, имеющей большинство в парламенте. Формально страной правит монарх (с 1952 года - Королева Елизавета II), но фактически высший законодательный орган - парламент, который включает в себя королеву, палату общин и палату лордов. Палата общин представляет собой общенациональное собрание, избирается раз в пять лет. Палата лордов - аристократы, принцы крови, наследные пэры... Палата лордов имеет право задержать законопроект (не финансовый) на срок до одного года. Финансовые законопроекты превращаются в законы при прохождении палаты общин и подписании королевой. Обычно она не препятствует работе палаты лордов и вообще не вмешивается в государственные дела.

почему constitutions are not present???конституци я-единственное число, поэтому исп-ся глагол is/а можно вообще так сказать: officially the constitution doesnt exist.а вообще, переводы-лажа, особенно первый. ощибок много

Great Britain - a parliamentary monarchy. Constitutions here are not present, its legislation is based on centuries-old constitutional customs and precedents. The legislature belongs to a parliament of two houses (the House of Commons and chamber of lords). The Cabinet (executive power) is formed by the prime minister - the party leader, having the majority in parliament. Formally the country the monarch (since 1952 - Queen Elizabeth II), but actually the highest legislative body - parliament which includes the queen, the House of Commons and chamber of lords corrects. The House of Commons represents national meeting, time in five years is selected. Chamber of lords - aristocrats, princes of blood, hereditary peers... The Chamber of lords has the right to detain the bill (not financial) for the term up to one year. Financial bills turn to laws at passage of the House of Commons and signing by the queen. Usually it does not interfere with work of chamber of lords and does not interfere at all with state affairs.
