Everyone HAS his favorite book. MAYBE more than one. And my favorite book is «Peter THE GREATE». The writer of this book is A. Tolstoy. A. Tolstoy began the work at novel in 1929. Novel of A. Tolstoy SHOWS life of that time. It was a difficult time. The novel IS VERY CLOSE to real historical events.
Peter THE GREATE was PROCLAIMED a king WHEN HE WAS 10 years old in 1682. From HIS youth Peter had BEEN INTERESTED IN science and foreign way of life. Peter THE GREATE had a strong character. He was a good military leader. He is the creator of the first Russian navy. He made many necessary reforms for Russia. first time I read this book AT 10 YEARS OLD. I HAVE read this book twice.
