First of all I wish to thank Laurel McQuarrie for sending me A free copy of the book
I don't know exactly IF I've got either standard set or some kind of the special giveaway set, but there were many funny things in my parcel beside the book itself:
The cards for memory match game
"The Golden Rule" ruler
The letter from the Author and Seefus
The coloring page and so on
So much additional fun and activity for the children
Now about the book ITSELF
THE images are hand-crafted WITH MUCH CARE, they invite BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS to craft something with cloth, pieces of clay, sheets of paper BY THEMSELVES.
THE images THAT COME along with tasks ARE AS FOLLOWS: find the little green one, SAME AND DIFFERENT, etc, AIMED AT STIMULATING YOUR KIDS' memory and attention.
THE poem is well-written, it has ITS educational moments (Call 911, for example, if something is bad....But this "bad" must be really-really bad), Seefus says funny phrases USING words that are quite useful for your child to MEMORIZE, especially if ENGLISH IS NOT HIS/HER NATIVE LANGUAGE.
And, of course, the eternal problem and nightmare of parents around the world: "Sleeping alone IS NOT SOMETHING CHILDREN CAN DO"
So, in this book they can look at SEEFUS' MISBEHAVIOR and learn SOME lessons from his mistakes.
