Another goal of participating in this project was to learn (THE) determination of basic physical and chemical parameters of soil to assess (ESTIMATE) its quality. During my activity in the laboratory, I familiarize and adapt many methods including: FAME method for characterizing microbial community. This Method used to assess soil quality and quantify the diversity of microorganisms in soils. The other methods were (INCLUDED ВМЕСТО WERE) determination of available phosphorus and total organic carbon in soil samples. It was also interesting to participate in the analysis of soil particle size determination and measurement of soil texture. Soil quality assessment is very important because it helps to get the necessary information of the capacity of a soil to function within ecosystem and land-use boundaries to sustain biological productivity, maintain environmental quality, and promote human health.
It should be noted, there is a lack of conceptual underpinnings in some native research methods and instruments, therefore multiannual experience of researches on geochemical pollutants of this laboratory were very important. Due to the Erasmus+ project I had the opportunity to work in such technically equipped and multifunctional laboratory. During 3 month(S, МНОЖЕСТВЕННОЕ) I applied (HAVE BEEN APPLYING? ) and investigated (INCESTIGATING) theoretical and conceptual knowledge about (THE) development (OF?) a range of experimental techniques and approaches. It also helped me to improve skills in analyzing, interpreting and presenting findings and data.
At the end of my research, I presented summary of accomplished work and undertook efforts during seminar organized for all members of department. The presentation has mainly concentrated on comparison of ICP-OES and XRF performance for Hg analysis in soil samples from Armenia. Establishment of the magnitudes of uncertainty in the measurements, evaluation of comparability of the different instrumental methods and determination of significant correlations between individual data sets were discussed. Also (there) were presented data of descriptive statistics of ICP-OES and XRF analysis result and created tables of mercury concentrations on different analytical methods. The brief description of accomplished work helped to jointly summarize all important achievements, fixed (FIX, Т. К. HELP УЖЕ СТОИТ В ПРОШЕДШЕМ ВРЕМЕНИ) minor mistakes and planed (PLAN) further actions.
For successful implementation of planed research are also rather important interpersonal relationships (interpersonal relationships are also rather important for successful implementation of planed research, ИЗМЕНИТЬ ПОРЯДОК СЛОВ). The research team was so friendly, that I did not had (HAVEБ НЕВЕРНО ОБРАЗОВАНО ОТРИЦАНИЕ) any negative experiences throughout (THE) research implementation. They helped me to integrate well into their group and improved my team work skills. I was also involved in various research projects of other Ph.D. and Master students, which helped me to know about the current advancement in my research field. Abovementioned obtained results as well as established good relationships provide a fertile breeding ground for further cooperation, collaborative research work, possible publications and inter-laboratory partnerships.
