В чём отличия have и have got?

Интересно почитать, что сами англоговорящие говорят (как раз о смысловом различии говорят) , вот человек спрашивает:
Have got, have, got: Is there any difference?
I’ve got a feeling this engages him more.
I’ve a feeling this engages him more.
I got a feeling this engages him more.

А вот ответы: Is there any difference?
I don't know this engages.
But I know 1 is say past you got feeling until now
2 is say now you get feeling
3 is say past you have but now maybe you no get feeling

To my ear, the first two have the same meaning, but "I have" is more formal" and "I've got" more conversational. I wouldn't personally use "I've" for "I have" except in a construction like "I've been thinking" -- is that the past particilple? --but using it as this example does might be perfectly common British usage.

To me the third one sounds correct only as past tense -- "As soon as I saw him, I got a feeling of forboding." I wouldn't use "I got" to mean "I have," but only "I received."

There are some people who would say "have got" is not grammatically correct, however, it is very commonly used (at least in the U.S.) and sounds natural to most native English speakers.

Note that:
-- Usually, "have got" is used in it's contracted form (except for in questions).

ex) I've got a car./He's got a car.

I haven't got a car./He hasn't got a car.

-- You can use "have got" in the same ways that you would use "have". They are completely interchangeable except for when using the progressive form of "have".

ex) I'm having a bad day. (You would never say: I'm having got a bad day.)

-- As Sabor pointed out "have got" is not limited to possession.

have to... = have got to... = must...

ex) I have to go to the store./I've got to go to the store./I must go to the store

When listening to native English speakers speak you will often hear "got to" combined to sound like "gotta" which is not really a word.

Have - глагол "слабый", он не умеет задавать вопросов. Поэтому используется конструкция have got, с ней меньше путаниц.
Просто глагол have - это даже устаревшее в языке уже.

HAVE это теперь, а HAVE GOT переводится как бы как "получивши", хотя в русском такой формы нет ). Или что-то сделав ранее.

Как я понимаю, смыслового отличия нет никакого. А вот отрицательная форма образуется по-разному. Поправьте, если не права)

При использавании have вопрос будет начинаться так Do (they,we....)have ...При использовании have got на первое место в вопросе становится have ...Have they GOT ...Разницы никакой .have употребляется с выражениями пообедать, позавтракать.
