I love Russia because it is my Motherland and because I belong to heroic Russian people.
Russia is known as one of the biggest countries in the world. The population is about 150 million people. My country is situated on two continents: Europe and Asia. Moscow is the capital city.

Russia is a land of long rivers and deep lakes. The Volga is the longest river in Europe. The Baikal is the deepest lake in the world. There are steppes in the south, plains and forests in the midland, tundra and taiga in the north, mountains in the east.

The national flag of Russia is a tricolour with white, blue and red horizontal stripes. A new national emblem is a two-headed eagle. It is the most ancient symbol of Russia.

Thousands of tourists from all over the world come to Russia to visit the Kremlin and Red Square, the Hermitage museum, the cities of the Golden Ring, Lake Baikal.

Russia is my native country. I am from the city of Tomsk, in the east of the country, a cultural centre in Siberia.

Russian culture is uncredibly rich and has a long history and deep traditions . Russian people are friendly, generous and hospitable. Russia is a wonderful place to live and to visit.

I call Russia my Motherland because I was born here. I do really love my homeland. My friends and relatives live here.
Russia is the world's largest state. It is washed by two oceans: the Arctic and the Pacific one. There are a lot of seas in Russia. Russia has big reserves of natural resources on these seas — for example gas, gold, oil and others. Russia is a multinational country. That is why it is divided into federal republics, districts and autonomous provinces. People of hundreds of different nationalities live there and all are called Russians.
In the future, I want to get a profession that benefits my country and people living in it. I want all people to love Russia as well as many famous writers, great poets, wise public figures love it and just as I love it. So instead of ruthless destruction of nature and killing rare wild animals, people should preserve and multiply the wealth of our Russia.
We should be proud of our country - its natural resources, territory, history, and of course, those people who have done a lot of good for our country and made it truly powerful.

Я зову Россию своей Родиной, потому что здесь я родился. Я действительно люблю свою Родину. Здесь живут мои друзья и родственники .
Россия - самое огромное государство в мире. Оно омывается сразу двумя океанами: Тихим и Арктическим. В России много морей. В этих морях есть огромные запасы природных ресурсов, например: газ, нефть, золото и многие другие. Россия многонациональна. Вот почему она разделена на федеральные республики, автономные провинции и районы. Там живут люди сотен разных национальностей, и все они зовутся россиянами.
В будущем я хочу освоить профессию, которая сможет принести пользу моей стране и людям, живущим в ней. Я хочу, чтобы все люди любили Россию так же, как многие знаменитые писатели, великие поэты, мудрые общественные деятели любят ее, и так же, как я люблю ее. Поэтому вместо беспощадного разрушения природы и уничтожения редких диких животных, люди должны сохранять и приумножать богатство нашей России.
Мы должны гордиться нашей страной - ее природными ресурсами, территорией, историей и, конечно, теми людьми, которые сделали много хорошего для нашей страны и сделали ее действительно могущественной.
