45. Useful tips for a foreigner coming to Russia. How to become successful in everyday communication in Russia. Give recommendations for a tourist.

Russia is a fascinating country that is currently the biggest in the world. It stretches almost two continents and covers nine time zones. Russian metropolitan cities boast of famous museums and breathtaking architecture. The biggest city is its capital, Moscow, and the second north capital, founded by Peter the Great, is Petersburg.
If you visit Moscow, then first of all you should visit the Red Square -the heart of Russia. There are several museums, two famous churches, Lenin's mausoleum, and the first boutique shop called GUM.
Here is some advice for foreigners who decide to visit Russia.
First of all, try to learn several English words. Certainly, there are lots of people who know English but there is also a big percentage of people who do not know English.
Secondly, make photocopies of your documents, which should be carried with you all the time. There are a lot of pickpockets and you might become their victim. That's why it is advisable to leave documents in a hotel. Big warning! Do take a photocopied passport with you all the time as Police in Russian are inclined to check passport and other documents.
Try to avoid drinking tap water. It is not correctly cleaned and can lead to several severe diseases. Don't flaunt that you have money in public places. Avoid walking in parks and in the streets alone after 11 P.M. That will reduce your chance of getting robbed. Don't exchange money in the streets; do it only in licensed banks. Do not use unlicensed taxis because you may be ripped off. If you stay at your friends', according to the law, they should register you in the Migration service within the first seven days since your arrival.
At last, there a lot of places for sightseeing. It would be more convenient, interesting, cheap and altogether safe if you took a sightseeing tour around the Russian cities that you have intention to visit.

Here is some advice for foreigners who decide to visit Russia.
First of all, try to learn several English (Russian?) words. Certainly, there are lots of people who know Englis(speak foreign languages) but there is also a big percentage of people who do not know (a word of) English.
Secondly, make photocopies of your documents, which should be carried (and carry them ...at all times)) with you all the time (to avoid being a victim of a pickpocket). There are a lot of pickpockets and you might become their victim. That's why it is advisable to leave documents in a/at your hotel. A Big warning! Do carry a photocopied passport with you all the time as THE Police in Russia are inclined (will want to/are on the lookout for foreign-looking people)) to check your passport and other documents.
Avoid drinking tap water.(It may disagree with your stomach) It is not correctly cleaned and can lead to severe diseases (Может, не стоит так пугать? Все-таки не Африка) . Don't flaunt (your thick wallet in public )that you have money in public places. Avoid walking in parks and in deserted streets alone after (dark) 11 P.M. That will reduce your chance of getting robbed. Don't exchange money in the streets; do it only in licensed banks. Do not use unlicensed taxis because you may be ripped off. If you stay at your friends', according to the law, they should/must register you in/at/with the Federal Migration service/Office within the first seven days AFTER your arrival. It will be a good idea to always have a Russian friend with you to engage in negotiations with waiters, souvenir vendors, taxi-drivers etc, because otherwise you'd be charged times more as a foreigner.
At last/finally, there is a lot of places for sightseeing. It would be more convenient, interesting/enlightening, cheap/money-saving and altogether safe if you took a sightseeing tour around the Russian cities that you have an/the intention to visit.
